How to install the DVAP for Windows7?

Step 1: Connect your ‘Digital Voice Access Point Dongle with the USB cable to your computer.
Probably, your Operating System will recognize the new device as DVAP dongle. Let Windows install the new hardware.
Step 2: Install the FT232R USB UART driver for your operating system: FTDICHIP.COM website – FT232R USB UART drivers
Step 3: Install the latest version of the DVAPTool application : http://www.dvapdongle.com/downloads/DVAPToolInstaller.exe
Step 4: If you tried already to start the DVAPTool, you will probably receive the message: “Dnssd.dll is missing. Then you have to download the Bonjour installer from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL999
Now you should be ready to start the DVAPTool.
Double click on the DVAPTool icon. A DOS window will pop-up and the application window will deploy on your screen.
For the first time, you should fill out your Station Call and choose the Frequency compliant with your region and regional band plan. Look which local frequency is free of QRM.
The software will detect automatically the DVAP dongle port. Click Open and the dongle will be activated. And the serial number of your device will be displayed. So far so good. The green led will blink.
Getting OPERATIONAL
For your daily operation, you should follow the process:
1. Connect to GATEWAY (REFLECTOR or REPEATER)
Example: go in the MENU of your 92D and fill out for UR: REF028AL
will connect you to reflector REF028AL
2. Next step, change UR into CQCQCQ (by pushing the key 0 on your keyboard of the 92D).
This command will give you the opportunity to talk .
3. If you would like to link an other REFLECTOR or REPEATER, first UNLINK the current gateway.
You can unlink by opening the menu and change UR: U (seven spaces + U)
4. Now you can link an other gateway (REFLECTOR or REPEATER)
Example: change UR: FEF001CL (linking REF001C – Chicago).
